DryRun Calls
Version 2026-07-29f

What we keep, and what we don't

Practising a cold call means talking out loud, so it is worth being precise about where that goes. This is the whole of it.

Your voice is transcribed, not recorded

Your microphone audio streams directly from your browser to Google's Gemini Live API and is discarded as it goes. We never receive it, never write it to disk, and cannot play a call back. What we keep is the text transcript of what was said.

What we store about a call

The text transcript of both sides, the scenario you were given, when the call started and ended, and the score and coaching that came out of it. Nothing else about the call is retained.

Your first call has no account

Before you give us an email you are identified only by a random id in a cookie on your device. It is not linked to a name, and we cannot tell who you are from it. If you later add an email, the calls made on that device are linked to your account so your allowance and progress carry over.

Who else sees a transcript

Two processors: Google, to run the live conversation and produce the transcript, and Anthropic, to grade it. Both are sent the call content for that purpose alone. No transcript is shown to another user, ever - leaderboards carry a name and a score and nothing else.

When someone here reads a transcript

A small number of named people here can open a transcript to answer a support request or investigate a call that went wrong. It is never shown by default, the person has to state a reason, and every single time it happens is written to a log that records who looked, at what, when and why. We cannot search across the text of transcripts, so there is no way to go looking through them.

How long we keep things

Calls, transcripts and scores are kept for 24 months, and feedback for the same. We are not yet deleting them automatically when that period is up - it is done on request today, and you can ask for yours to go at any time using the address below. Your account and progress are kept for as long as you have an account.

Leaderboards are opt-in and reversible

You choose whether to compete. Private play is scored exactly the same and is invisible to everyone else. Turning competing off later removes your historical entries, not just future ones.

Analytics without cookies or tracking

We count page visits and a handful of product events - a call started, a score returned - to see whether the product works. It sets no cookies and does not follow you between sites or across days. Alongside each visit it records your browser, your device type and an approximate location worked out from your connection, which can be as fine as a city and is frequently wrong. Your IP address itself is never stored. All of it runs on our own server, so nothing about your visit is sent to an advertising company or any other third party.

Nothing about a call says where you were

Calls, transcripts and scores carry no location at all. The rough location above sits with anonymous visit counts and is never joined to your account, your calls or your leaderboard entry.

The rating you give a session

If you rate a call out of five stars we store that rating against the call, so we can tell which practice scenarios are worth people's time. It is about the product, not about you, and it is never shown to anyone else or used in any leaderboard.

What happens to feedback you send

If you write to us through the feedback box we store what you wrote, so we can act on it. An email address is optional there and is used only to reply to you - leave it blank and the message is not linked to any way of contacting you. Please do not paste anything sensitive into it; it is a support inbox, not a secure channel. Feedback is kept for 24 months and then deleted.

We only quote you if you say we can

Nothing you write appears on this site unless you tick the box that says we may quote it, and even then a person here reads it first and decides - ticking the box is permission to be asked, not automatic publication. You choose the name shown, or leave it blank to be anonymous, and we never show your email address. If you change your mind, write to us and we will take it down.

Getting your data back, or deleted

You can ask for a copy of your transcripts and scores, or for all of it to be deleted, by emailing support@dryruncalls.com. Deletion removes the calls, transcripts, scores and account - it is not a flag, the rows go.

If we change any of the above materially, the version above changes and we ask you to accept it again - so the version recorded against your account is always the one you actually agreed to.
